Since 1985, the No-Nonsense seminar has provided a world-class program with scientific presentations and workshops presented by leading clinicians and experts in podiatric medicine and related disciplines.This event will discuss different surgical techniques of the foot and ankle, explain the biomechanics of the lower extremity, delve into limb salvage and endocrinology care as well as identify would care options of the lower extremity.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards and requirements for approval of providers of continuing education in podiatric medicine through a joint provider agreement between Cine-Med and lerEXPO. Cine-Med is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a provider of continuing education in podiatric medicine. Dr. Abicht is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon practicing for over a decade at Gundersen Health System (GHS) in La Crosse, WI. He is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and currently serves as department chair for the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Department at Gundersen Health System. Dr. Abicht is actively involved in medical education, medical leadership, as well as research with regular publications in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. Additionally, he serves on the editorial board for multiple journals. Dr. Abicht is a leading surgeon innovator within the foot and ankle space, with particular interests in percutaneous and MIS techniques as well as emerging technologies that advance patient care. Dr. Sugino advanced her surgical and clinical training by completing an additional year of fellowship at the Newport Advanced Foot & Ankle Fellowship in Newport Beach, CA. Her training focused on reconstructive forefoot, hindfoot and ankle surgery, including complex Charcot reconstructions utilizing Ilizarov external fixators, limb deformity correction, lower extremity trauma, sports medicine, total ankle replacement, and plastics procedures including advanced muscle, adipofascial and skin flaps for limb salvage.

Jeff Dikis

Jeffrey Dikis, DPM currently practices as a partner with McFarland Clinic, Iowa’s largest physician-owned multispecialty clinic. After residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, he worked at an orthopedic group in Tennessee before moving home to Iowa. He is certified in foot surgery and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He serves as clinical faculty with the Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Dikis has extensive training in Arthroscopy, Trauma, Sports Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, and has taught and lectured at national educational conferences and courses.
He is the host and creator of the popular Pod Patrol podcast, an entertainment and educational podcast, covering topics of the foot and ankle with both podiatric and orthopedic colleagues. He is one-half of the instagram tandem FootDocDuo, producing educational content. He has authored research papers in both The Foot and Foot & Ankle International.
He is married to his wife, Ashley, also a podiatric surgeon, and has two young boys. He enjoys music and plays the piano and drums. He is an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and enjoys coaching his kids’ soccer and basketball teams.
Corine Creech

Dr. Corine Creech is a board-certified podiatric surgeon at Inova. She specializes in surgical intervention of the foot and ankle, with a wide range of interests including correction of bunions and hammertoes, tendon disorder repair, complex deformity correction, limb salvage, trauma care, arthritis prevention and repair, and total ankle replacement.
Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Creech completed her podiatric medical education at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed her residency training at Temple University Hospital, a large, inner-city Level 1 Trauma Center, where she underwent extensive training in foot and ankle surgery and reconstruction.
Dr. Creech is a national and international lecturer on minimally invasive surgical solutions for bunions and hammertoes, Achilles damage and trauma, fractures, and arthritis. She has authored numerous textbook chapters and articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Creech is passionate about education and research. She is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the Journal of the American Podiatric Medicine Association. She serves on Inova Fairfax Medical Campus’s foot and ankle surgery residency training committee and as the program’s research director.
Having gone through several lower extremity surgeries herself, as well as competing as a Division I college athlete, Dr. Creech offers a unique and compassionate approach to patient care and recovery. She is passionate about patient care and communication.
Dr. Creech is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where she also played varsity soccer for four years.
Walter Strash

Dr. Walter “Wally” Strash is a graduate of Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and Carleton University. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both foot and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgeries. In 1991, Dr. Strash founded Alamo Family Foot and Ankle Care, P.A.
In addition to evaluating and treating patients, Dr. Strash is active in various clinical research projects with an interest in diabetic foot ulcers and pain management, a lecturer and consultant, an associate professor at the University of Texas San Antonio Health Science Center’s Department of Orthopedic Surgery, and serves on the board of the Specialty Surgery Center. Additionally, he has been published in numerous medical journals and books, including Clinics in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, Foot and Ankle Quarterly, The Journal of Foot Surgery and Principles & Practice of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Strash is married with four children. Dr. Adrienne Estes is a podiatric surgeon currently practicing in southern California. She is an Assistant Professor for Western University of Health Sciences and Chief of Podiatry at Riverside University Health Systems. She graduated from WUCPM and after finishing her residency in NY at the HHC Hospitals she completed her fellowship at the North Jersey Foot & Ankle Fellowship under Dr. Michael Subik. She currently specializes in minimally invasive surgery, complex limb deformity correction, limb salvage, and surgical offloading solutions for diabetic ulcers. She is double board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and by the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She is also a fellow of the Academy of Physicians in Wound Healing since 2016.
She is currently the site coordinator for the PGY3 residents from VA Loma Linda and leads the Foot & Ankle Grand Rounds at the RUHS Orthopedics Residency program. She was recently voted faculty of the year at WesternU and is currently advancing the medical school curriculum with surgical cadaver conferences for pre-clinical students. She has served on the fellowship committee for ACFAS, surgical committee for AACPM and most recently, the OR committee at her local hospital. Julio Ortiz

Dr. Ortiz, a distinguished podiatric surgeon, brings a wealth of expertise and compassion to his practice. Born in Havana, Cuba, he immigrated to Florida at the age of two with his family and grew up in Hialeah. His passion for sports medicine was sparked during his time at Miami Springs Senior High School after sustaining a knee injury. Choosing to forgo athletic scholarships for college wrestling, Dr. Ortiz pursued his calling in medicine, enrolling at Barry University—one of only two institutions at the time with a accredited Sports Medicine program.
Dr. Ortiz earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training with a minor in Biology. His growing interest in podiatric medicine led him to continue his studies at Barry University, where he graduated in the top 10% of his podiatry school class. During his final year, he served as a tutor and mentor, demonstrating his commitment to education and leadership.
His training included externship rotations at prestigious institutions such as Cambridge Health Alliance of Harvard University and Ft. Benning Hospital in Georgia, where he gained hands-on experience in the medical and surgical care of traumatic injuries for soldiers in Military Jump School. Dr. Ortiz completed his post-graduate surgical training at JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, Florida, where he served as Chief Resident from 2006 to 2007. He further honed his expertise through advanced courses in Reconstructive Foot & Ankle Surgery, Diabetic Limb Salvage, Adult and Pediatric Flatfoot Correction, Deformity Correction, Ankle Arthroscopy, Sports Medicine, and Total Ankle Joint Replacement.
As one of the select few podiatric surgeons in South Florida trained in total ankle joint replacement, Dr. Ortiz is proficient in all current systems available on the U.S. market. He holds surgical privileges for these procedures at Bethesda Health Hospitals and JFK Medical Center.
Dr. Ortiz is an active member of the American, Florida, and Palm Beach County Podiatric Medical Associations. As a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, he has contributed to the Community Education Committee, furthering the advancement of podiatric care.
Dedicated to education, Dr. Ortiz holds teaching positions at four podiatry schools, including Adjunct Clinical Professor at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine, Clinical Instructor at Western University of Health Sciences, and Clinical Professor at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Jaffe earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 2008 and then began his surgical and clinical training at the North Chicago VA Medical Center and St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, IL. During Dr. Jaffe’s residency, he served as chief resident during his three years of residency training and published original articles in peer reviewed journals. Following his completion of residency, he began practicing in a group practice in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Jaffe continued his academic involvement as a surgical instructor through the DePaul Health Center residency program. Jonathan earned his bachelor's degree in physical education from Brigham Young University, his master's degree in physical therapy from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at A.T. Still University. In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys the outdoors with his wife and family. He stays physically active by training as a sprint triathlete. While the variety of exercise modalities is enjoyable, he most enjoys competitively running 5 and 10K races.

Joseph Correa-Volkman PT, DPT is board certified in wound care; bringing a knowledge and compassion to his patient care with an emphasis on the management of diabetic foot ulcerations as well as venous leg ulcerations. Dr. Abicht is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon practicing for over a decade at Gundersen Health System (GHS) in La Crosse, WI. He is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and currently serves as department chair for the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Department at Gundersen Health System. Dr. Abicht is actively involved in medical education, medical leadership, as well as research with regular publications in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. Jeffrey Dikis, DPM currently practices as a partner with McFarland Clinic, Iowa’s largest physician-owned multispecialty clinic. After residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, he worked at an orthopedic group in Tennessee before moving home to Iowa. He is certified in foot surgery and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He serves as clinical faculty with the Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Dikis has extensive training in Arthroscopy, Trauma, Sports Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, and has taught and lectured at national educational conferences and courses.
He is the host and creator of the popular Pod Patrol podcast, an entertainment and educational podcast, covering topics of the foot and ankle with both podiatric and orthopedic colleagues. Dr. Corine Creech is a board-certified podiatric surgeon at Inova. She specializes in surgical intervention of the foot and ankle, with a wide range of interests including correction of bunions and hammertoes, tendon disorder repair, complex deformity correction, limb salvage, trauma care, arthritis prevention and repair, and total ankle replacement.
Prior to joining Inova, Dr. Creech completed her podiatric medical education at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. Vincent DeCataldo is a highly respected leader in the Orthotics and Prosthetics (O&P) profession, bringing nearly four decades of proven expertise to the field. Since earning his credentials as a BOCPO and NJLPO practitioner in 1986, Vincent has built a distinguished career dedicated to advancing clinical excellence, innovation, and education in orthotic and prosthetic care.
Over the past 15 years, Vincent has shared his knowledge worldwide through lectures and continuing education courses, particularly on the design and clinical application of carbon fiber ankle-foot orthoses (AFOs). His engaging teaching style blends evidence-based practice with real-world clinical insight, empowering practitioners to enhance patient outcomes through biomechanical understanding and advanced fabrication techniques.
Vincent’s clinical foundation includes extensive experience in lower extremity gait biomechanics, as well as the fabrication, alignment, and optimization of both prosthetic and orthotic devices. As Clinical Manager at Rinko Orthopedic Inc. for over 20 years, and later as the owner and operator of ROE P&O, he helped countless patients achieve improved mobility and independence while mentoring clinicians across varying skill levels.
His diverse contributions to the field extend beyond direct patient care. Vincent has served as an advisor to the orthopedic residency program at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, NJ, supporting education in adult and pediatric orthopedics, trauma care, and post-surgical prosthetic management. He also lent his orthotic expertise to professional sports, serving as orthotist for the New York Football Giants.
In recent years, Vincent held key leadership roles with Orthomerica Products Inc., where he served as Lower Extremity and Prosthetic Product Manager and Clinical Advisor to the Engineering Department. There, he played a pivotal role in bridging clinical insight with product innovation, collaborating with engineers and practitioners to develop practical, performance-driven solutions for the O&P community.
Now, as Vice President of Clinical Operations and Strategies at Allard USA, Vincent leads initiatives that merge education, clinical expertise, and strategic growth. His current focus is on advancing awareness of sound clinical and scientific practices throughout the O&P profession continuing his lifelong mission to elevate both the art and science of patient care.
